ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington’s DaJuan Gordon and Seattle U’s John Christofilis have been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Basketball Player and Newcomer of the Week, for the game week ending on Sunday, Feb. 18.
 
Gordon, a graduate student guard, earned his second conference player of the week award this season after averaging a double-double for 1-1 UT Arlington. Gordon tallied 18.0 points and 10.5 rebounds per game, shooting 82.4 percent (14-of-17) from the floor with 3.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game. Gordon logged 20 points and 13 rebounds (four offensive rebounds) on 7-of-9 shooting in a hard-luck 80-78 loss to Tarleton State on Feb. 15. Gordon recorded 16 points on 7-of-8 shooting, eight boards, four assists and two steals in only 23 minutes of an 89-70 win at UTRGV on Feb. 17.
 
Christofilis, a redshirt sophomore transfer guard, averaged 18.0 points per contest during a 2-0 road trip for Seattle U. Christofilis poured in a game-high 25 points, with 5-of-10 makes from beyond the arc, during a 78-68 win at Southern Utah on Feb. 15.
