ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington’s Dante Teramo and Grand Canyon’s Gerhard Sullwald and David Wekesa have been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Tennis Players of the Week, for the match week ending on Sunday, Feb. 18.
 
Teramo, a sophomore, earned his second conference singles player of the week award after going 2-0 at the second singles court for UTA last week, adding an additional win at number two doubles for the Mavs. Teramo downed DePaul’s Laurenti Mandocescu 6-1, 6-2 on Feb. 16 and swept New Mexico State’s Itay Feigin 6-1, 6-0 on Feb. 17.
 
Sullwald, a graduate student, and Wekesa, a sophomore, were 2-1 at the top doubles court for GCU in three starts last week. The duo defeated UC Riverside’s Justin Lamy and Joshua Roth 7-6 (7-2) on Feb. 13 and Utah State’s Stijn Paardekooper and Nuno Pinheiro 6-3 on Feb. 18.
