2024 WAC SB Release - Week Three
GRAND CANYON ON TOP OF WAC STANDINGS
After the second week of nonconference play, Grand Canyon stands alone at the top of the WAC standings with an overall record of 8-2. California Baptist was second with a 7-4 mark, while Southern Utah and Tarleton State are tied at 6-4. Seattle U rounds out the top five with a 5-5 record.
MIRACLES DO HAPPEN
After a near fatal car accident two years ago that left her unable to play for Tarleton State during the 2023 season,
Kendall Daniel returned to the diamond this season and has been showing up for the Texans in a big way.
Daniel earned her first collegiate win and WAC Pitcher of the Week as she tossed the 11th no-hitter in Tarleton State’s history during a 9-0 win against Mississippi Valley State. She was just the second freshman in program history to ever toss a no-hitter with the first being Caryn Holbrook on March 29, 1997, against Eastern New Mexico (14-0, 5).
GCU KNOCKS OFF NO. 17 VIRGINIA TECH

Makaiya Gomez had a solo home run and
Ramsay Lopez recorded a three-run homer.
