TicketSmarter WAC Softball Players of the Week Announced

ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington’s Camille Corona and Stephen F. Austin’s Aydenne Brown have been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week, for the game week ending on Sunday, Feb. 25.
 
Corona, fifth year infielder, provided an electric bat across the three-day Razorback Invitational as the lefty tabbed an impressive .625 batting average with 10 hits. She had multi-hit efforts in four of the five games for the Mavs, making that six on the season so far including a 2-3 performance against No. 14 Arkansas. Currently, Corona leads UTA with a .432 batting average with 16 hits.
 
Brown, a senior, made two appearances during the North Texas Invite, one as a relief in the first game against New Mexico where she pitched one inning and against Minnesota where she pitched a complete game in SFA's 1-0 win. In that Minnesota win, Brown allowed four hits and struck out three batters on 86 pitches. Overall, Brown pitched 8.0 innings, allowing six hits, two runs, one walk, striking out four batters. She ended the weekend with a 1.75 ERA on 109 pitches.
