ARLINGTON, Texas – Grand Canyon’s Erin Brown and Eric Cabais-Fernandez have been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week, for the meet week ending on Sunday, Feb. 4.
 
Brown, a senior, won his second men’s track weekly award of the indoor season following a strong performance at the Riverfront Invitational & Multis Feb. 1-3 in Spokane, Washington. Brown took first place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 20.76, ranking first in the WAC and 18th in the nation as of Feb. 7.
 
Cabais-Fernandez, a junior, also added a second weekly men’s field award this season following competition at the Riverfront Invitational & Multis. Cabais-Fernandez cleared 5.26m (17-3.0) in the pole vault to take second place in the event, posting the top mark in the conference and ranking 37th in NCAA Division I as of Feb. 7.
