2024 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships Results
ARLINGTON, Texas – Southern Utah’s
Isaiah Labra and
Astley Davis both earned second-team All-America finishes representing the WAC during competition at the 2024 NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships March 7-9 in Boston.
Labra, the 2024 WAC Men’s Indoor Track & Field Athlete of the Year, took part in the mile at the NCAA Championships and narrowly missed qualifying for the finals heat with a 12th-place finish. The Southern Utah and WAC Championship record holder in the distance set during the conference championships meet in February in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Labra crossed the finish line in the second preliminary heat with a time of 4:00.67.
Davis, the WAC runner-up in both the long jump and triple jump at the conference championships meet, placed 16th in the triple jump at the NCAA Championships to capture an All-America scroll. Davis registered an attempt of 15.16m (49-9.0) in his third and final of the triple jump championship flight.
