ARLINGTON, Texas – UTRGV’s Emilien Burnel and Ivo Isqueiro have been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Tennis Players of the Week, for the match week ending on Sunday, Mar. 10.
 
Burnel (Sr.) takes his second weekly singles award after sweeping two matches on the number one court, playing a big role in the Vaquero’s 2-0 weekend. Burnel made quick work with New Mexico State’s Tobias Wallin with a 6-0, 6-2 sweep, followed by another straight set against Morgan State’s Mikeal Carpenter 6-3, 6-2.
 
Isqueiro (Fr.) teamed up with Burnel and picked up two wins on the number one doubles court. The pair took down Tobias Wallin/Gustavo Campos of New Meixco State 6-2 and Morgan State’s Mikeal Carpenter/Makkijha Brown 6-3. They have now won three matches in the row in the top flight.
