LAS VEGAS – No. 1 seed Grand Canyon and No. 3 UT Arlington will collide on Saturday with a tournament championship and NCAA tournament automatic bid at stake to cap the 2024 Hercules Tires WAC Men’s Basketball Championship at the Orleans Arena.

Tyon Grant-Foster led all players with an efficient 28 points on 9-of-18 shooting with six rebounds, three blocked shots and two steals. Ray Harrison poured in 17 points, four assists and three boards. Lok Wur cashed in 12 points and five rebounds.
 
Alex Schumacher powered Seattle U with 21 points, seven assists and seven rebounds in defeat. John Christofilis added 12 points and Seyi Reiley finished with 11 points and four boards.

UT Arlington’s miracle run continued by erasing a double-digit second half deficit to stun Tarleton State late. A made 3-pointer from Brandyn Talbot with 3.3 seconds remaining wound up being the difference on the scoreboard.
 
Shemar Wilson led all scorers for UTA with 29 points and three blocked shots. Phillip Russell added 18 points and 10 assists for the Mavs, and DaJuan Gordon compiled a 16-point, 11-rebound double-double.
 
Devon Barnes scored 24 points in the Tarleton State setback. Jakorie Smith logged 23 points in defeat for the Texans.
