ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington’s Joan Torres Espinosa and Abilene Christian’s Mihaly Deli and Merse Deli have been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Tennis Players of the Week, for the match week ending on Sunday, Mar. 17.
 
Espinosa (So.) takes his third Singles Player of the Week award in the last four weeks after taking a win in the number one singles court against a nationally ranked team. Espinosa extended his court one winning streak to seven matches as he defeated Pablo Perez Ramos of #57 New Jersey Institute of Technology 6-4, 6-2, handing Ramos his first court one loss in his 12 matches in 2024.
 
The Deli brothers collect their second doubles weekly award of the year as they went 2-0 on the week. Mihaly (Sr.) and Merse (Fr.) took down Mikel Garmendia/Bryan Kuntz of University of Nebraska, Omaha 7-5 and New Mexico State’s Roko Stipetic/Luca Fe D’ostiani 6-4. The brothers extend their doubles record to 8-0 on the spring.
