ARLINGTON, Texas – Abilene Christian’s Shiean Walters and Grand Canyon’s Taryn Burkett have been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week, for the meet week ending on Sunday, Mar. 20.
 
Walters (Gr.) won the ACU Wes Kittley Invitational’s 400m with a time of 55.03, putting her first in the conference, first in the South Central Region, and ranking 28^th in the country.
 
Burkett (Jr.) competed in the Arizona Spring Break Fiesta’s triple jump where she finished with a mark of 12.78m (41-11.25). Burkett’s triple jump ranks high on the charts as she’s first in the WAC, third in the West Region, and sixth in the NCAA.
