ARLINGTON, Texas – California Baptist’s Nicholas Dumesnil and Abilene Christian’s Brett Lanman have been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week, for the game week ending on Sunday, March 24.

Dumesnil, a sophomore outfielder, batted .467 with three home runs, five RBI, two stolen bases, a .600 on-base percentage, a 1.067 slugging percentage and seven total runs scored in a 2-2 CBU week. Dumesnil went 4-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored in a slugfest against Dartmouth on March 19. Dumesnil drove in two runs and scored three runs in game two against Tarleton State on March 23 and reached base three times while scoring two runs in the series finale to help the Lancers win the weekend set with the Texans on March 24.

Lanman, a freshman left-handed pitcher, posted his second straight quality start for ACU to improve to 4-1 in his debut season. Lanman threw seven innings of two-hit baseball with three walks and seven strikeouts on 83 pitches in a 3-0 victory for the Wildcats against Sacramento State on March 24.
