2024 WAC Women's Golf Championship First Round Scores
PAYSON, Ariz. – Abilene Christian holds the top spot on the leaderboard following the first round of the 2024 Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Golf Championship on Friday at the par-71 course of The Rim. The Wildcats shot a 14-over-par 298 to take a one-stroke lead after an opening 18 holes.
California Baptist is in second after the first round with a score of a 15-over-par 299. Utah Valley fired a 300 (+16) to sit at third place. Grand Canyon is slotted in fourth with a score of a 18-over-par 302, while UT Arlington carded a round of 303 to place fifth at 19-over.
Abilene Christian’s
Ryann Honea was the individual leader after day one thanks to a 1-under-par 70, which featured three birdies on holes 6, 9 and 13. Seattle U’s
Rivekka Jumagulova, Utah Valley’s
Chloe Jang and
Pati Uluave shared second place at 1-over 72. Six players are all tied for fifth place with matching 3-over scores of 74.
