GCU, CBU STAY TIED ATOP THE WAC
Grand Canyon and California Baptist remained in a tie for first place at the top of the WAC with matching 13-5 (.722) records in league games as of April 24. Abilene Christian and Utah Valley were both on pace with identical 11-7 (.611) marks.
SACRAMENTO STATE CLIMBS TO .500 WITH FOUR STRAIGHT
Sacramento State has evened its conference record at 9-9 thanks to a four-game winning streak in WAC play. The Hornets took the final game of a series against CBU on April 7 and swept Seattle U on the road the following week. Sacramento State added three nonconference wins in four games last week, defeating Southern California twice and Santa Clara once.
DUMESNIL CREATING RUNS FOR CBU

Nicholas Dumesnil claimed WAC Player of the Week accolades for the second time this season following a productive offensive week at the plate. Dumesnil batted .467 with four home runs, seven RBIs, a 1.235 slugging percentage and scored 10 runs over just four starts. Dumesnil opened a doubleheader with Abilene Christian going 5-for-5 with two long balls, five runs batted in and five runs scored.

Kade Brown shared WAC Pitcher of the Week honors following sterling performances on the mound leading their teams to victories last week. Lanman shut out a prolific California Baptist lineup with 7.1 shutout innings in which he allowed two hits, walked one batter and struck out five in a 4-0 ACU victory. Brown threw 3.1 innings of no-hit relief with four strikeouts to earn two saves in Sacramento State wins over Southern California.
UT ARLINGTON CONTINUES CHALLENGING NONCONFERENCE SLATE
UT Arlington checked in with the fourth-ranked nonconference strength of schedule in NCAA Division I baseball as of April 23. The Mavericks have already played 19 games against teams ranked in the current RPI Top 100.
