ARLINGTON, Texas – Southern Utah’s Hayden Harward and Grand Canyon’s Jorden Okyere have been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week, for the meet week ending on Sunday, Apr. 28.
 
Harward (Sr.) posted a WAC-best time in the 3000m steeplechase this season with a time of 8:39.24 at the Payton Jordan Invitational hosted by Stanford. Harward now becomes only one of two competitors in the conference to post a 3000m steeplechase time under 8:50. Harward also puts himself 19^th in the country in the national 3000m steeplechase rankings.
 
Okyere (Gr.) competed in a highly competitive field in the hammer throw at the Desert Heat Classic hosted by Arizona. Okyere posted a throw of 64.04 meters (210-1.00), checking in at second in the conference and 59^th in the nation.
