ARLINGTON, Texas – Utah Valley senior catcher/designated hitter Burke Camper was honored by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday by being named to the 2024 Academic All-America Second Team in NCAA Division I baseball.
 
Camper, with a 3.97 GPA as an exercise science & outdoor recreation major, batted .293 with a team-high .474 on-base percentage in 55 starts for Utah Valley, tying for the team lead with 18 home runs to finish as a Buster Posey Award (national catcher of the year) semifinalist. Camper added 47 RBIs and scored 57 runs across all games this past season. Camper was named to the 2024 All-WAC First Team after compiling a 1.257 OPS, 11 doubles, 11 home runs, 28 RBIs and 35 runs scored in 30 league games played.
 
In two seasons with the Wolverines, Camper batted .304 with 21 home runs, 77 RBIs and 87 runs scored.
