ARLINGTON, Texas – Utah Tech’s Lacy Fox and Brianna Frey and Grand Canyon’s Madison Hamm have been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Soccer Offensive Player, Defensive Player, and Goalkeeper of the Week, for the match week ending on Monday, Aug. 26.
 
Fox, a junior forward, recorded her first collegiate hat trick against UNLV on Thursday night, leading the Trailblazers to a 3-2 home victory. Fox scored all three goals in a span of 12:55 in the second half, the second-fastest in the program’s four-year era. She became the eighth different Trailblazer in the program’s NCAA era, second in the D-I era, to record a hat trick.
 
Hamm, a sophomore midfielder, accumulated 104 minutes of playing time at the defensive center-mid position last week and only allowed one goal while on the pitch. Hamm’s highlight of the week came late in the match against Utah when she scored her first career goal with a strong left-footed strike from outside the box to force a draw with the Utes.
 
Frey, a junior goalkeeper, posted 180 minutes of action last weekend and recorded her first clean sheet of the year. Frey made three saves and allowed two goals in Utah Tech’s match against UNLV and followed that up with four saves in 90 scoreless minutes in a draw with Omaha.
