2024-25 WAC WBB Week 11 Release

UT ARLINGTON STARTS WAC PLAY WITH THREE STRAIGHT W'S
A perfect home record of 7-0 and a four-game winning streak has carried over to the start of WAC play for UT Arlington as it is the first team to three wins in the 2024-25 conference season. Last week, the Lady Mavs collected home victories over Utah Tech 81-60 and Southern Utah 78-54. This is the first time UTA has started off conference play 3-0 since the 2019-20 season and the first time accomplishing the feat in the WAC. Fifth year forward Koi Love took her fourth consecutive WAC Newcomer of the Week honor after averaging 21.0 points and 6.5 rebounds. Through the three conference games, Love averaged 23.7 points and has shot at a 60.4 field goal percentage.

GRAND CANYON'S HISTORIC NIGHT
Grand Canyon took down Utah Valley 71-59 on Thursday night, but the Lopes had more than one reason to celebrate. In the victory, graduate guard/forward Tiarra Brown became GCU's all-time D-I scoring leader with 1,356 career points after recording nine points, needing only three to break the record. This win also gave Molly Miller her 100th victory as the head coach of the program. With a record of 100-37 in her five years at GCU, Miller's winning percentage as head coach of the Lopes improved to .730. Miller and Brown have journeyed together in Phoenix throughout the last five years, as Miller's first recruit as GCU head coach was Brown. The Lopes moved to 2-0 in conference play and expanded their winning streak to 13 games, the nation's fourth longest active winning streak. The seven longest active winning streaks in the country all belong to teams that are ranked nationally, with the exception of GCU.

ORDER UP 39 LEMONS FOR CALIFORNIA BAPTIST
After missing the entire non-conference schedule, sophomore guard Khloe Lemon has provided a resurgence for California Baptist as she has led the Lancers to a 2-0 record in conference play. This week's WAC Player of the Week put up a historic performance in CBU's 77-50 win over Utah Valley where Lemon dropped 39 points after making 11-of-18 shots from beyond the arc. Her 11 3-pointers tied the WAC single-game record and tied for the most 3's made in a game this year nationally. The 39 points is the most points scored in a game this season in the WAC and tied for the ninth most in the country. Lemon has the highest scoring average in WAC play with 28.5 points.

EMILY ISAACSON TOPS UTAH TECH'S 3-POINT LEADERBOARD
In Utah Tech's game against UT Arlington, redshirt senior forward Emily Isaacson drained her 208th career 3-pointer to become Utah Tech's all-time leader in 3-point field goals made. Isaacson went on to make five more shots from beyond the arc in UTU's game versus Tarleton State on Saturday to improve her career total to 213 made 3-pointers. Isaacson is currently third in the WAC in 3-point field goals with 35 this season and is averaging 16.5 points per game in conference play, the sixth most in the WAC.
