ARLINGTON, Texas – Grand Canyon’s Dania Deaifi and the duo of Gala Arangio and Valentina Del Marco have been named Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Tennis Players of the Week for the week ending on Sunday, Jan. 19.

Deaifi, a junior, earned this week’s Women’s Singles Player of the Week for her strong performance against UC San Diego. She won her match in straight sets, contributing significantly to the Lopes’ victory in their season-opening match.

Sophomore Arangio and senior Del Marco took the Women’s Doubles Players of the Week honors after clinching the doubles point with a crucial win over UCSD following a 6-4 victory.
