ARLINGTON, Texas – Tarleton State’s Duru Kuscu and the duo of Maretha Burger and Emma Persson have been named Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Tennis Players of the Week for the week ending on Sunday, Jan. 26.

Kuscu, a freshman, earned Women’s Singles Player of the Week after going 3-0 at the No. 2 singles spot. She secured straight-set wins over New Mexico State, Lubbock Christian, and Collin College, including a 6-0, 6-0 “double bagel” against Collin. 
Burger, a senior, and Persson, a junior, claimed Women’s Doubles Players of the Week honors after finishing 3-0 at No. 1 doubles. The pair notched victories over New Mexico State (6-2), Lubbock Christian (6-2), and Collin College (6-1), dropping just three games combined.
