UACFOOTBALL -- United Athletic Conference (UAC) Football moves deeper into October and enters the heart of the league schedule as the ledger includes another quartet of head-to-head battles in Week 7. Three of the UAC's nationally-ranked squads face road tests Saturday headlined by a second consecutive ranked clash as No. 19 Abilene Christian visits No. 21 West Georgia. 

NOTEWORTHY
- In the latest FCS National Rankings, the UAC saw four teams holding spots in all the Top 25 lists for the third consecutive week... Tarleton State remained undefeated and locked in as the No. 3-ranked team in the traditional polls (AFCA & Stats Perform), while Austin Peay used a victory over West Georgia to move up to No. 15 (AFCA)/ 16 (Stats Perform). Abilene Christian picked up its second UAC win to secure the No. 19 (Stats Perform) and No. 21 (AFCA) positions, with the Wolves slipping to No. 21 in both rankings after suffering their first defeat of the season

- Week 6 Recap: The Texans survived a scare in a shootout with Southern Utah to stay one of just eight undefeated teams in the FCS... In a battle of ranked foes, the Govs defended "The Fort" and handed UWG its first loss of the year... Central Arkansas picked up its first conference victory of the season after protecting "The Stripes" in a back-and-forth contest against Utah Tech... The Wildcats took an early lead versus North Alabama en route to keeping an unblemished record at home in 2025

- Playing in their second straight ranked UAC clash, No. 21 West Georgia (5-1, 2-1 UAC) looks to rebound from its first loss of the year when No. 19 Abilene Christian (3-3, 2-0 UAC) comes to town on Saturday afternoon... The Wolves are 2-0 at home while the Wildcats enter in search of their first road win (0-3)

- Central Arkansas (2-4, 1-1 UAC) looks to build on the momentum from its conference win last Saturday as the Bears travel to "The Shoals" to take on North Alabama (1-4, 0-1 UAC)... UNA is playing its final season at Braly Stadium and hopes to end a current three-game skid against UCA

- A rivalry set for its 57th renewal sees EKU (2-3, 0-1 UAC) returning from its bye to welcome long-time rival No. 15 Austin Peay (4-2, 2-1 UAC) back to Roy Kidd Stadium...  The Colonels carry a 9-game home win streak into the contest with their last loss in Richmond coming in 2023 at the hands of the Govs (33-30 in OT)... The last two meetings in this series have been decided by three points in OT

- No. 3 Tarleton State (6-0, 2-0 UAC) faces its second consecutive "Beehive State" foe, travelling to St. George for a Saturday night match-up with Utah Tech (1-5, 0-2 UAC)... The Texans offense has been high-powered this season riding a four-game streak of scoring 50+ points, while 3 of the Blazers losses have been decided by a single score including a tough loss at UCA last Saturday
 
- Southern Utah (1-5, 0-2 UAC) is the lone UAC squad on a bye

- For a third consecutive season the UAC had a member squad compete in Week 0 on national television as No. 8/10 Tarleton State blanked Portland State, 42-0, on ESPN2. The win marked the first shutout performance for an FCS team in Week 0 history... The league owns a 2-2 mark in Week 0 play

- Heading into the 2025 season, UAC lineups include a trio of players listed on national award watch lists with Tarleton State QB Victor Gabalis named to the Walter Payton Award list along with a pair of defensive standouts, Lando Brown of Southern Utah and Abilene Christian's Will Shaffer, part of the Buck Buchanan Award list... Gabalis (Offensive) and Shaffer (Defensive) were tabbed the preseason Player of the Year choices by the conference coaches.

- In its brief three-year history, UAC Football has already produced THREE FCS over FBS wins: TSU over Army, 30-27 2OT and APSU defeated MTSU, 34-14 this season | SUU topped UTEP, 27-24 OT in 2024... The UAC now boasts THREE wins over a ranked non-conference FCS foe: ACU over #23 SFA, 28-20 and UWG over #22 Nicholls, 34-10 this season | EKU defeated #16 SEMO, 41-38, in 2023... Additionally, the league owns a pair of FCS Playoff wins in 2024 by the Wildcats and Texans
