ARLINGTON, Texas – Abilene Christian’s Ashli Edmiston and Rachel Koss, and Utah Valley’s Lani Matavao have been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Volleyball Player, Setter, and Libero of the Week, for the match week ending on Sunday, Oct. 5.
 
Edmiston, a senior outside hitter, led Abilene Christian to its first conference win after recording 19 kills with a .359 hitting percentage. Edmiston tallied 23.5 points in the match, which is a career-high and the sixth-most in a four-set match in ACU’s D-I era. Edmiston added three service aces and three total blocks to average 5.88 points per set, the most in the WAC last week.
 
Koss, a junior setter, led the conference last week in assists per set (8.50) after notching 34 assists along with four digs and a kill in ACU’s win over UT Arlington. Koss leads the WAC in assists per set in all games with 8.87.
 
Matavao, a junior libero, collected 21 digs and two assists for the Wolverines versus Utah Tech for a WAC-high 5.25 digs per set last week. Matavao improves her conference digs per set to 4.00, ranking second in the league.
