WAC VB25 Release Week 7

UTAH TECH REMAINS AS FINAL UNDEFEATED TEAM IN WAC PLAY
Utah Tech kept its 2025 home record perfect last week after picking up wins over California Baptist and Utah Valley. The Trailblazers are now the last team standing in the WAC with an undefeated conference record (3-0) and home record (5-0). UTU collected its eighth sweep of the season in its contest versus CBU. Kennedi Knudsen led the Trailblazers in kills in both matches finishing with 17 kills and 18 kills, respectively, while hitting .308 to go along with 12 digs & three blocks.
 
TARLETON STATE TAKES DOWN UTA IN FIVE-SET THRILLER
Tarleton State moved up to a tie for second place in the WAC standings following a dramatic 3-2 victory over UT Arlington. Madison Rice-Locket led the Texans attack with 16 kills and 11 digs, recording her fourth double-double of the season. Alyssa Dinh (10 kills, 10 total blocks) and Teya Nguyen (21 assists, 11 digs) also notched a double-double in the match for Tarleton State.
 
SOUTHERN UTAH HOLDS OFF CALIFORNIA BAPTIST
Southern Utah nabbed its first five-set victory of the season over California Baptist on Saturday, holding off a late rally from the Lancers. Victoria Zibecchi and Addyson McArthur led the offensive charge for the Thunderbirds, tallying 26 of the team’s 47 kills. Asya Akbulut recorded a double-double with 23 assists and 10 digs.
 
ABILENE CHRISTIAN CLAIMS A PAIR OF WAC WEEKLY HONORS IN FIRST ROAD WIN
Abilene Christian’s Ashli Edmiston and Rachel Koss were named this week’s WAC Player and Setter of the Week, respectively, as the Wildcats snapped their four-game losing skid with a win over UT Arlington 3-1. Edmiston tallied 23.5 points in the match, a new career-high and the sixth-most in a four-set match in ACU’s D-I era. Koss led the WAC last week with 8.50 assists per set after totaling 34 assists in the match.
