CALIFORNIA BAPTIST REMAINS AS FINAL UNDEFEATED TEAM IN THE WAC, OLSON HITS 300 CBU WINS
California Baptist stands alone as the final undefeated team in the WAC, starting the season at 4-0 after picking up wins against Long Beach State and San Jose State last week. The victory over the Spartans marked
Jarrod Olson’s 300th career win as the Lancers’ head coach.
Filipa Barros notched the second triple-double in CBU’s program history against Long Beach State, recording 10 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists.
Lauren Olsen was tabbed the WAC Newcomer of the Week after averaging 19.0 points last week, the most in the WAC, which included a 23-point performance versus San Jose State.
HOME SWEET HOME
The WAC has established a strong home presence to start the 2025-26 season as the league has combined a 16-3 record when playing at home. Each team has collected at least two home wins in the first couple weeks of play, with Abilene Christian, California Baptist, Southern Utah, Utah Tech and Utah Valley remaining unbeaten at home.
SOUTHERN UTAH’S HOT START CONTINUES TO ROLL
Southern Utah is off to its first 4-1 start since the 2019-2020 season as the Thunderbirds collected wins over Eastern Washington and Benedictine Mesa.
Sierra Chambers was named the WAC Player of the Week, marking back-to-back weeks with WAC weekly honors for Southern Utah. Chambers recorded 18.5 points per game last week and went perfect 10-of-10 from the free throw line against Idaho. Chambers has registered at least 11 points in all five games played and is third in the conference in scoring with 15.8 points per game.
ABILENE CHRISTIAN CHECKS IN AT 14TH IN MID-MAJOR POLL

Natalia Chavez notched a career-high 20 points against the Vaqueros, making seven of 10 shots from the field.
Meredith Mayes notched her first double-double of the season with 13 points and 13 boards. The Wildcats were two points away from a 4-0 start to the season as ACU took Stephen F. Austin down to the wire on Friday, but fell in the final seconds 77-76.
