ARLINGTON, Texas – Grand Canyon’s Junior Diouf and California Baptist’s William Lawson and Hugo Do Rego have been named the University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Soccer Offensive Player, Defensive Player and Goalkeeper of the Week, for the match week ending on Monday, Nov. 3.

Diouf, a freshman forward, registered his conference-high fourth two-goal match of the season to lift GCU to a 3-2 win over UNLV in the WAC regular season finale on Nov. 1. Diouf equalized the contest with a goal in the 30th minute by way of a penalty kick before knocking home the winner in the 86th minute to give the Lopes the victory. Diouf enters the final week of the regular season as the conference leader in goals (14) and points (32) across all matches in 2025.

Lawson, a sophomore defender, played the full 90 minutes for CBU in a 2-1 victory at San Diego State on Nov. 1 to secure a regular season conference championship and tournament top seed. The Lancers limited San Diego State to just four shots on goal before Lawson volleyed in the match winner in the 89th minute to give CBU the win.

Do Rego, a junior goalkeeper, was credited with three saves for CBU during its 2-1 win at San Diego State on Nov. 1. Do Rego, a two-time weekly award winner during the season, finished the conference schedule with the second best save percentage (.742) and goals against average (1.14) in WAC matches.
