ARLINGTON, Texas –UT Arlington’s Kira Reynolds has been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Basketball Player and Newcomer of the Week, for the game week ending on Sunday, Nov. 30.
 
Reynolds, a freshman forward, led UT Arlington to its first win over Texas A&M since 1976 and its first win over an SEC opponent since 2006 with a double-double against the Aggies as well as knocking down the buzzer-beating shot with one second left on the clock to give the Lady Mavs the 61-60 win. Reynolds put up a career-high 22 points and grabbed a game-high 12 boards for her third career double-double. She also finished with three blocks, two assists and one steal in a game-high 36 minutes of action, a new collegiate career-high. Reynolds then recorded eight points, six rebounds and four blocks in UTA’s victory over VCU to average 15.0 points, 9.0 boards and 3.5 blocks on the week.
