ARLINGTON, Texas – Grand Canyon's Andreas Loizas and the doubles team of Loizas and Diordan Macababbad have been named as the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Tennis Players of the Week, for the competition week ending on Sunday, Feb. 16.

Loizas, a freshman, clinched singles player of the week following his unbeaten streak this past weekend. Loizas delivered crucial victories, notching his team-high sixth win of the season, including a significant win against UC San Diego.

In doubles, the freshman duo of Loizas and Macababbad dominated, going 2-0 for the week. Their teamwork set them up favorably in an unfinished third match that they were poised to win.
