ARLINGTON, Texas – Grand Canyon’s Justin Raines and Tarleton State’s Lokesh Sathyanathan have been named the University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week, for the competition week ending on Saturday, Feb. 15. 
 
Raines, a senior, continued to dominate the sprints at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational. He recorded a time of 20.59 in the 200m, securing the top rank in the WAC and ninth in the NCAA for this event. Raines has also maintained his top ranking in the WAC for the 60m since his performance on Dec. 14 at the Spokane Indoor Invitational. This marks the second consecutive week Raines has earned the conference track athlete of the week award. 
 
Sathyanathan, a senior, excelled in the field events at the Don Kirby Elite Invitational, setting a school record in the long jump with a leap of 7.92 meters. This outstanding performance leads the WAC and placed him fourth in the NCAA for long jump.
