ARLINGTON, Texas – California Baptist’s Pusanisa Ekkantrong has been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Golfer of the Week, for the tournament week ending on Wednesday, Feb. 26.

Ekkantrong, a sophomore, was the individual medalist representing team champion CBU at the WMU Rio Verde Invitational on Feb. 21-23 in Rio Verde, Arizona. Ekkantrong carded rounds of 68-75-64 to win medalist honors by five strokes at 9-under-par 207. Ekkantrong birdied the 17th and 18th holes to come home in 7-under-par 30 and give the Lancers the one-shot team win to close the final round. Ekkantrong led all players with a 3.75 (-6) scoring average on par 4s and rolled in 14 total birdies for the tournament to rank second in the field.
