ARLINGTON, Texas – Abilene Christian’s Daniel Morozov and the team of Martin Delnido and Merse Deli have been named the University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Tennis Players of the Week, for the competition week ending on Sunday, Feb. 2.

Morozov, a senior, earned a second straight weekly conference honor thanks to a win in straight sets during a 7-0 team shutout of UT-Rio Grande Valley on Jan. 30. After claiming a victory at top doubles, Morozov swept UTRGV’s Sam Whitehead 6-3, 6-2 at the number one singles court to vault ACU ahead 2-0 in the match.

Delnido and Deli, both sophomores, clinched the doubles point for ACU on the way to its team shutout of UTRGV. The pair defeated Will Roberts and Ivo Isquieiro 7-5 in the third and final doubles match to power the Wildcats to a 1-0 lead.
