ARLINGTON, Texas – Utah Valley’s Dominic Longo II and California Baptist’s Ryan Kittredge have been named the University Credit Union Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Baseball Player and Pitcher of the Week, for the game week ending on Sunday, March 16.

Longo, a sophomore transfer infielder, was on fire for Utah Valley in a 4-0 week, batting .667 with six extra-base hits, five stolen bases, 10 RBIs and eight runs scored. Longo reached base at a .700 clip and slugged 1.222 against Northern Colorado and Embry-Riddle. Longo went 5-of-6 with four RBIs and three runs against Northern Colorado on March 10, and drove in six runs and scored five times in the first three games of a series with Embry-Riddle on March 14-16.

Kittredge, a junior right-handed pitcher, earned his first win of the season after throwing a gem at Rutgers on March 16. Kittredge tossed 7.2 innings of three-hit baseball, walking one and hitting one batter while striking out five Scarlet Knights on 100 pitches in a 4-1 CBU victory.
