ARLINGTON, Texas – Tarleton State's Noelia Lorca, along with the doubles duo of Emma Persson and Maretha Burger, have been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Tennis Players of the Week, for the competition week ending on Sunday, March 2. 
 
Lorca, a senior, led her team with remarkable performances, competing at the No. 2 singles spot in Tulsa. She clinched her match against Oral Roberts in a three-set battle, marking her third consecutive singles victory. Lorca recovered from a first-set loss to dominate the next two sets, securing a crucial point in the Texans’ 6-1 victory over Oral Roberts. This win helped extend the team's winning streak to three. 
 
Persson and Burger secured a commanding win at the No. 1 doubles spot against Oral Roberts. Their performance was instrumental in Tarleton State clinching the doubles point for the fifth consecutive match, aiding in the 6-1 team victory. Burger and Persson, who now hold an impressive 8-1 record for the season, continue to excel with their fourth WAC Doubles Team of the Week honor this season and their third consecutive weekly accolade.
