ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington’s Abigail Flores has been named the Jersey Mike's A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women's Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week for the meet week ending on Sunday, April 13.
 
Flores delivered a record-breaking performance at the 2025 44 Farms Team Invitational, hosted by Texas A&M. Competing against a field that featured athletes from national powerhouses like Texas Tech, Nebraska, and Michigan, the senior launched a program-record throw of 50.97m in the women’s discus. The mark placed her 15th overall in a highly competitive field, shattering both her personal best and the UT Arlington outdoor record, and currently leads the WAC.
