ARLINGTON, Texas – Utah Valley’s
Kali McEuen and
Kelsi Oldroyd have been named the Jersey Mike's A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week for the meet week ending on Sunday, May 4.
Junior Kali McEuen delivered a standout performance at the BYU Robison Invitational. McEuen captured the title in the 400-meter hurdles, setting a new Utah Valley program record with a time of 57.93 seconds—a mark currently ranked first in the WAC and 43rd in the NCAA. Additionally, she achieved a personal best in the 100-meter hurdles, finishing second with a time of 13.71 seconds, ranking third in the WAC. McEuen also holds the 23rd-best WAC time this season in the 200 meters, following her 25.04-second performance at the Beach Invite.
Senior Kelsi Oldroyd excelled in field events at the SUU Coliseum Championships, winning both the javelin and the long jump. Oldroyd broke her own javelin school record with a remarkable throw of 56.97 meters. Earlier in the season, she set the WAC's top javelin mark of 56.17 meters at the Utah Tech Invitational, which currently ranks eighth in the NCAA. In the long jump, her winning leap measured 6.03 meters at SUU, and she is currently ranked second in the WAC with her earlier season-best jump of 5.98 meters at the Beach Invite.
