ARLINGTON, Texas – Utah Valley’s Ruby Hladek, Abilene Christian’s McCarly Holloman and Southern Utah’s Jazmyn Brass have been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Women’s Soccer Offensive Player, Defensive Player and Goalkeeper of the Week, for the match week ending on Monday, Aug. 25.

Hladek, a senior forward, tallied three points in Utah Valley’s lone match against No. 23 Kansas as she assisted the first Wolverine goal then buried a header into the back of the net late in the 85th minute. Hladek currently leads the WAC early in the season with 3.00 points per game.

Holloman, a senior defender, played a full 90 minutes in both matches for Abilene Christian last week as she led a strong performance by the Wildcats defense that recorded two shutouts. Holloman and the ACU defense have allowed just one goal in the first four games of their season.

Brass, a redshirt senior goalkeeper, collected seven saves including a pair of crucial free kick stops in the final 10 minutes against a quality Boise State opponent and helped Southern Utah preserve the 1-1 draw with Broncos. Brass leads the WAC with 22 total saves and is tied for 11th nationally.
