JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The United Athletic Conference (UAC) has announced its weekly award winners for men’s and women’s golf for Thursday, Oct. 1.
MEN’S GOLF
Golfer of the Week: Kellen Young, Tarleton State
Young led the Texans as he finished tied for third place at the Argent Financial Classic with a 210 (-6) final score. Heading into the final round of the weekend, Young shot a 67, his best round of the season, with five birdies and 13 pars to move up in the standings.
WOMEN’S GOLF
Golfer of the Week: Filippa Mortensen, Tarleton State
Mortensen led Tarleton State with a seventh place finish at the Powercat Classic with a 220 (+4) final score. The freshman from Denmark carded a pair of Eagles on the fourth and 13th holes in the final round of the event.
