JACKSONVILLE, Fla., - The United Athletic Conference (UAC) highlights the Volleyball upcoming competition for the week of October 6.
Abilene Christian has won its last three matches and sits tied for second place in the UAC standings at 3-1. The Wildcats will look to keep the momentum rolling with a pair of Lone Star State matchups as they host UT Arlington on Thursday and head to Tarleton State on Saturday.
Austin Peay heads into the week coming off a big five-set victory over Tarleton State last Saturday. The competition won't get any easier for the Governors as they take on two of the top three teams in the UAC standings: EKU on Tuesday and North Alabama on Thursday.
After concluding its challenging non-conference schedule winless, Central Arkansas has won two of its last four matches to begin UAC play at 2-2. The Bears will head to Stephenville, Texas on Thursday for a matchup with the Texans and will host West Georgia on Saturday as the Bears look for their second win against the Wolves this season.
EKU stands alone as the final undefeated team in conference competition at 4-0 as EKU has swept their last three matches. The Colonels look to collect their 10th and 11th consecutive wins as they host Austin Peay on Tuesday and North Alabama on Saturday.
Little Rock returns home after a week on the road as they host West Georgia on Thursday and will look for their second sweep against UT Arlington on Saturday.
North Alabama has begun conference play with a 3-1 record and is coming off a pair of wins last week. The Lions will hit the road for a Thursday matchup with Austin Peay then will battle for the top of the standings on Saturday versus EKU.
Tarleton State hosts two matches this week against Central Arkansas on Thursday and Abilene Christian on Saturday. Both of the Texans conference wins so far have come on home territory.
UT Arlington is looking for a rebound week on the road as they head to Abilene for the match against the Wildcats on Thursday followed by a trip to Little Rock on Saturday.
West Georgia hits the road looking to collect their first conference win of the season as they head to Little Rock on Thursday and Central Arkansas on Saturday.
