JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The United Athletic Conference (UAC) has announced its weekly award winners for men’s and women’s golf for Thursday, Oct. 8.
MEN’S GOLF
Golfer of the Week: Cooper Watson, Abilene Christian
Watson finished with a share of 12th place at SMU’s Trinity Forest Invitational in Dallas, Texas. Registering the lowest 54-hole score by an ACU freshman since 2012, Watson carded a 211 final score (-5) while leading the team with 34 pars and totaling 11 birdies.
WOMEN’S GOLF
Golfer of the Week: Kaylee Yuan, Abilene Christian
Yuan led the Wildcats with a 214 (+1) final score at the Tennessee Mercedes-Benz Intercollegiate in Knoxville, Tenn. The freshman carded a career-best three-under round in the final round of the tournament while totaling eight birdies and matching the program’s best 54-hole low score by a freshman.
