ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington’s Diana Kaibara, Tasnime Ahamout and Natalia Gonzalez have been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Tennis Players of the Week, for the match week ending on Monday, Mar. 23.
 
Kaibara, a freshman, collected her second singles win in the last three matches with a 6-4, 6-2 straight set victory over Abilene Christian’s Maria Cascos on the No. 2 singles court. Kaibara’s singles win helped UTA to the match victory over the WAC rival.
 
Ahamout and Gonzalez, freshmen, clinched the doubles point for the Mavericks after defeating ACU’s Victoria Correa/Angela Del Campo 6-2 on the No. 2 doubles court. The duo improves their doubles record to 6-2 this season, taking wins in three of their last four matches.
