Little Rock, West Georgia Earn Women's Soccer Weekly Awards

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The United Athletic Conference (UAC) has announced its weekly award winners for women’s soccer for Monday, August 17.

WOMEN’S SOCCER
Player of the Week: Maria Schuller, Little Rock
Schuller started both of Little Rock’s matches in opening week where she helped the Trojans to a 1-0-1 record. The junior forward netted the game-winning goal in the team’s 2-1 win over Arkansas State on Sunday and led the team with six shots, three on-goal, for the week.

Defensive Player of the Week: Emily Sanabria, West Georgia
Goalkeeper Sanabria averaged 12.0 saves per game in the opening weekend against Jackson State and Mercer. The sophomore allowed just two goals in 45 shots faced and marked the first Wolves player to record back-to-back double digit saves in the team’s season openers.
