Allen, Texas Named as United Athletic Conference Basketball Tournaments Host

The United Athletic Conference (UAC) has announced the city and host venue for the UAC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Tournaments for the next three years. Beginning with the 2026-27 championship season, Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas will serve as the host site to the UAC Basketball Tournaments.

“We are thrilled to bring our men’s and women’s basketball tournaments to Allen, Texas,” said Unisun Sports Chief Executive Officer Jeff Bacon. “Our top priority when we began this process was to deliver the best experience possible for our student-athletes, coaches, and fans and we believe that Allen provides just that. In an area that has established itself as one of the most refreshing and exciting destinations in the DFW Metroplex, Allen helps to Forge Ahead the new era of the United Athletic Conference.”

A 7,000+ seat facility in one of the most diverse areas in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Credit Union of Texas Event Center hosts more than 100 events annually with a $13 million economic impact to the community. Located north of Dallas, Allen blends the best of local charm and hospitality with world-class amenities.

"It's always an honor when an organization places its confidence in Allen, and I'm grateful to the UAC for choosing our community as the home of its basketball tournaments for the next three years,” said Allen Mayor Chris Schulmeister. “I believe this selection reflects years of thoughtful planning and investment by our community. Because we've continued to invest in outstanding facilities like Credit Union of Texas Event Center, we're able to welcome events of this caliber and share what makes Allen, Texas such a special place."

Home to the Allen Americans, an ECHL hockey team, Credit Union of Texas Event Center has hosted numerous events over the years including concerts, professional sporting events, star performers, trade shows, and large conventions, further proving its versatility and capabilities as a multipurpose facility.

"Credit Union of Texas Event Center was built to host championship-caliber events, and we're so excited to see it serve as the home of the UAC Basketball Tournaments,” said Visit Allen, Texas Director Brandy O’Keefe. “Student-athletes spend an entire season working toward the opportunity to compete for a conference championship, and we're proud to provide a venue that matches the significance of that moment."

The tournament logo, designed by Joe Bosack & Co., serves as a visual nod to both the conference and the Texas location where the tournaments will be hosted. Created with the conference’s Forge Ahead mission in mind, the logo incorporates elements that reflect the resilience, grit and determination that define the conference.

The horseshoe symbolizes the strength and perseverance of the conference, while also paying homage to the state of Texas, where the tournaments will take place in Allen. The silver portrays the conference’s fortitude and strength to Forge Ahead and create what's next in college athletics. The UAC logo represents a connection to the conference’s history and celebrates the first tournament of its new era.
