NOTABLES
- Chris Parson lit up UT Martin’s defense going 17-for-21 in the air for 254 yards while adding in 82 rushing yards with three total touchdowns for the day - two of them coming from Parson on the ground.
- The Lions walked away with a three-point win over the Leathernecks after an eight-play, 75-yard dive late in the fourth quarter that ended with Destin Wade crossing the pylons with a quarterback-keeping tush push. North Alabama sacked WIU’s Kennedy McGill after a bad snap as time expired to secure the victory.
- Colton Fitzgerald and the West Georgia offense went off en route to the team’s first win of the season. The senior playcaller was slinging the ball going 25-for-37 for 384 yards in the air while 14 different receivers caught passes and six different players recorded at least 10 rushing yards in the 42-point win.
- The Argos came back with a vengeance following its first loss of the season last week; West Florida picked off Southeast Missouri State quarterback Braylen Ragland three times (A’Khoury Lyde, Noah Gibson, Kenyan Hunter) while three different defenders recovered fumbles (Gibson, Christian Ware-Terry, Will Fennema) for six forced turnovers in the win.
