UAC Women's Soccer Preview - Sept. 30

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., - The United Athletic Conference (UAC) highlights the Women's Soccer competition for this upcoming Sunday, October 4.

Austin Peay makes their way to West Georgia for a 1 p.m. ET matchup as both squads are looking for their first UAC win. Both teams suffered losses to EKU and North Alabama in the first week of conference play.

Abilene Christian will host Central Arkansas at 1 p.m. CT as the Wildcats look to remain unbeaten for their fifth consecutive match. The Bears began conference play at 1-1-0 with a loss to Tarleton State and a 3-0 shutout over Little Rock. Last week, ACU recorded a 1-1 draw with Little Rock and came out on top over Tarleton State 3-2.

North Alabama will host EKU for a 1 p.m. CT battle between the two undefeated conference teams in the Blue Division. EKU's Peyton Smith and Jordan LeVasseur earned this week's UAC Player and Goalkeeper of the Week, respectively, after EKU outscored their opponents 5-1. UNA's Adelyn Speight was named UAC Defensive Player of the Week for anchoring the Lion Defense that allowed just one goal last week. 

Little Rock squares off with Tarleton State at 6 p.m. CT in the capital city of Arkansas. The Texans split the opening week of conference play, defeating UCA 2-1 followed by a loss to ACU, while Trojans preserved a 1-1 draw with ACU and was shutout by UCA.
