NOTABLES
  • Tarleton State continued to dominate the 2026 season when it took down FBS opponent Bowling Green on the Falcons home field. Running back Tylan Hines put up massive numbers in the Texans win with 250 yards on the ground while Marquis Willis and Tanner Schmidt each found the endzone.
  • The Texans win over Bowling Green marks the second consecutive FBS win for Tarleton State in the last two seasons. Last year, it took two overtimes before the Texans took down Army with the 30-27 victory.
  • The North Alabama defense kept them alive against Arkansas virtually the whole way, aided by a win in the turnover battle. The Lions had two fumble recoveries, including a first half strip sack by sophomore Cayden Adkins recovered by redshirt junior Walter Goggins. The Lions also had an interception to end an Arkansas red zone drive at the end of the first half, picked by junior Trevion Butler.
  • West Florida continued to shine in their inaugural season in the UAC after taking a 42-14 win over Central Arkansas in the conference’s first match-up of the season. While the offense flexed their muscles, the Argo defense notched three takeaways (2 fumble, 1 interception) against the Bears.
  • Ty’Ray Davis clocked another impressive stat line going 14-for-17 with 227 yards in the air and adding another 75 yards on the ground. The redshirt sophomore found three different receivers for score while crossing the pylons once himself on a seven-yard keeper in the first quarter.
