JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -Following an impressive performance in Tarleton State’s 20-13 win over Bowling Green,
Tylan Hines was named the Stats Perform Offensive Player of the Week, it was announced Monday.
Hines set personal and FCS-season highs in rushing yards (250) and scrimmage yards (297) en route to the Texans’ second win over an FCS opponent in as many years. He clocked a 72-yard run to set up a touchdown in the second quarter and took Tarleton State from its own eight-yard line to the Bowling Green nine-yard line after a breakaway 83-yard run late in the fourth quarter.
Hines accounted for eight of the team’s first downs while adding a 38-yard reception along with his yards on the ground. Through the first two games of the season, Hines leads all of FCS with 434 rushing yards.
