The United Athletic Conference (UAC) announced its 2026-27 Men’s & Women’s Basketball schedules on Wednesday marking the inaugural season of UAC Basketball after the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) officially rebranded on July 1. Nine teams will prepare to battle it out for the UAC titles.
The 72-game conference slate tips off on Wednesday, January 6 with eight of the nine teams in action. Former men’s basketball Atlantic Sun Conference (ASUN) members North Alabama, West Georgia, Austin Peay and EKU all face each other while Central Arkansas will take on new foe Tarleton State. Abilene Christian will host Little Rock, who announced its membership to the UAC back in October 2025.
The women will also start conference play on Wednesday, January 6 with Abilene Christian traveling to UT Arlington while West Georgia, Austin Peay and Little Rock head to Central Arkansas, EKU and North Alabama, respectively.
Both the UAC Men’s Basketball Tournament and Women’s Basketball Tournament will feature the top eight teams in the league March 10-14. The UAC Basketball Tournament location and bracket information will be announced at a later date.
