ARLINGTON, Texas – Grand Canyon’s Tatum Parrott and Klaire Mitchell and Tarleton State’s Matti Theurer have been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Volleyball Player, Setter and Libero of the week, for the match week ending on Monday, Oct. 16.   
 
Parrott, a sophomore outside hitter, notched 48 kills (6.00 k/s) on a .349 hitting clip for 50 points last weekend. In a five-set thriller win over UTRGV, Parrott recorded a career-high 26 kills, hitting .308 with four digs. On Saturday against California Baptist, Parrott led the team offensively to a 3-0 win with 22 kills, seven digs and one service ace.  
 
Mitchell, a graduate student, produced a stellar weekend to earn wins over UTRGV and California Baptist. Mitchell led the Lopes to a .286 team hitting percentage, averaging 12 assists per set for a total of 96 assists. She recorded her eighth double-double of the season against UTRGV with 50 assists and 12 digs. Against California Baptist, she produced 46 assists and six digs. Mitchell also had a total of eight blocks, five kills and four service aces on the week.  
 
Theurer, a junior, compiled 39 digs (4.17 d/s) on the weekend, 24 in the match against UT Arlington and 15 in the match against Stephen F. Austin. Theurer earned a season-high in aces with four in the match against the Mavericks. She amassed four points for the Texans against UTA for a season-high in points. Theurer also racked up eight assists over two matches, five against UTA and three against SFA.
