ARLINGTON, Texas – Grand Canyon’s Nicky Kling has been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Men’s Golfer of the Month for September 2023.

Kling, a senior, shined for GCU in its first tournament of the fall 2023 slate, the Wildcat Fall Invitational on Sept. 17-18 at Colbert Hills Golf Course in Manhattan, Kansas. Kling claimed solo medalist accolades after firing rounds of 66-69-68 to shoot 13-under-par 203 and win by three strokes. Kling’s 18 total birdies were tied for the tournament lead, and he led the 81-player field with a 7-under-par aggregate score on par-5s at Colbert Hills.
