ARLINGTON, Texas – Utah Valley’s Tori Ellis, UT Arlington’s Mollie Blank and Utah Valley’s Lani Matavao have been named the TicketSmarter Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Volleyball Player, Setter and Libero of the week, for the match week ending on Monday, Oct. 30.   
 
Ellis, a senior outside, had 22 kills in the Wolverines’ two sweeps over Abilene Christian and Tarleton State. Ellis averaged 3.67 kills a set and added 13 blocks for a 2.17 average. Her 4.92 points per set led UVU on the weekend, scoring 19.5 against ACU. Ellis recorded a double-double against Abilene Christian with 13 kills and 11 blocks, as Utah Valley had one of the best blocking performances in program history with 21 total team blocks.
 
Blank, a senior setter, opened the week with 49 assists and four digs in UT Arlington’s win over UTRGV. Blank then secured her fourth double-double of the season with 39 assists, 14 digs, three kills, two blocks and an ace against Stephen F. Austin. She has tallied at least 33 assists in each of the past seven matches, including five matches with 40 or more assists.
 
Matavao, a freshman libero, tallied 24 digs in the six sets played to average 4.00 digs per set while adding two service aces and six assists. Matavao had 15 digs against Abilene Christian and nine against Tarleton State with two aces.
