2023 WAC Volleyball Championship Box Score

OREM, Utah – In front of an electric crowd, No. 2 Grand Canyon captured its first ever WAC Tournament Title in program history, as the Lopes knocked off No. 1 Stephen F. Austin in four sets (25-18, 20-25, 29-27, 25-18) at the Lockhart Arena on Utah Valley’s campus. With the victory, Grand Canyon clinched its first automatic bid to the 2023 NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Tournament.

Grand Canyon’s Klaire Mitchell was selected as the Most Outstanding Player of the tournament after registering her 12^th double-double of the season with 49 assists and a career-high 25 digs. Tatum Parrot was named to the All-Tournament Team after a dominant performance, recording a double-double with a career-high 30 kills hitting .303 and 19 digs. Parrot’s 30 kill mark is the most kills recorded by a WAC player this season. Ashley Lifgren was also named to the All-Tournament Team after posting her first double-double of the season with 13 kills and 13 digs. Tatum Thomas chipped in with 21 digs and seven assists.

All-Tournament Team member, Camyrn Hill led the ‘Jacks recording her seventh double-double of the season with 13 kills, 16 digs and added two blocks. Ielan Bradley was an All-Tournament Team honoree after posting 11 kills and seven blocks. Izabella Ortiz led SFA in blocks with a season-high nine blocks and added nine kills. Ariana Pagan chipped in defensively with a team-high 19 digs.

The Lopes now await the NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Selection Show on Sunday, Nov. 26 at 5 p.m. CT on ESPNU, where they will learn who they will face in the first round. The first and second rounds are set to start Nov. 30 to Dec. 2, while the semifinals and finals are Dec. 14 and 17 at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida.
