ARLINGTON, Texas – UT Arlington’s Brianna Ford, Mollie Blank, and Samantha Glenn have been named the Jersey Mike’s A Sub Above Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Volleyball Player, Setter, and Libero of the Week, for the match week ending on Tuesday, Oct. 1.
 
Ford, a graduate outside hitter, led UT Arlington to a 2-0 start to conference play by collecting wins over Grand Canyon and California Baptist. Over the week, Ford recorded 46 kills in nine sets (5.11/set), 16 digs, 10 blocks, four aces, a .411 hitting percentage, and 6.17 points per set. Ford recorded a double-double against Grand Canyon with 20 kills and 10 digs. Ford then tied her season-high of 26 kills in the match versus California Baptist. Ford leads the WAC in kills (220) and points (259.0) and has tallied double-digit kills in all but three matches for UTA this season.
 
Blank, a graduate setter, recorded 51 and 50 assists in the Mavericks' matches this week, the second and third time she has reached the half-century mark this season. Along with the 101 assists (11.22/set), Blank also accumulated 18 digs, three aces, and three blocks on the week. Blank collected 13 digs against California Baptist to mark her fourth double-double of the season. Blank now leads the WAC in assists this season with 510.
 
Glenn, a sophomore libero, totaled 37 digs (4.11/set), nine assists, and three aces in the two wins for UTA. Glenn set new career-highs of 24 digs and eight assists against California Baptist. Glenn is fifth in the WAC in digs with 183 and has recorded double-digit digs in all but one match.
